Founded in 2009, with support from the Alliance for Hope International, Blue Shield of California, and the California State Legislature, CFJN has grown into a statewide network of 27 Family Jus-tice Centers. CFJN works to support the provisions and intent of CA Penal Code 13750 which defines Family Justice Centers. It provides statewide coordination of victim's services and training, promotes best practices, and assists with research and outcome evaluations.

Twenty-eight centers in California have been created since 2002, with two more in development due to growing need.
